Hybrid Performance

This audiovisual live performance uses real-time physical and audio-reactive digital manipulation of physical visual materials to create dynamic, ever-evolving visual and sonic experiences. The piece explores the intersection of tactile and digital media.
Acrylic pouring serves as source visual material. The visual is captured by a camera with a macro lens and then processed by laptop using Resolume Avenue. Avenue processes the video, adds effects that react to music by analyzing audio or MIDI data, and outputs the result to screens on the stage.
During live performance, I play music, do acrylic pouring and manipulate the video control parameters on laptop.
